the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) hold the record for the highest powerplay score in Indian Premier League (IPL) history. They achieved this feat by scoring 125 runs without losing a wicket (125/0) during the first six overs against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 20, 2024, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
In that match, SRH's opening pair, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, delivered explosive performances. Travis Head scored 84 runs off 26 balls, while Abhishek Sharma contributed 40 runs from just 10 balls.
This remarkable powerplay performance surpassed the previous record held by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who had scored 105/0 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 7, 2017, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
SRH's achievement not only set a new benchmark in the IPL but also in T20 cricket globally, showcasing the evolving aggressive batting strategies in the shortest format of the game.
